Da Nang Port, situated in Da Nang Bay, spans an area of 12km2 and boasts a convenient transportation system. It has become a vital stage in the logistics service chain of Central Vietnam, and was selected as the final point of the East-West economic corridor that connects Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. The port serves as the main gateway to the East Sea for the entire region.

At present, Da Nang Port consists of the main port area, Tien Sa Port Enterprise, and its member companies. It offers nearly 1,700m of berth with the capability to accommodate general cargo ships up to 50,000 DWT and container ships up to 2,500 TEUs. The port is equipped with modern handling and storage facilities, ensuring a mining capacity of up to 8 million tons per year.

The Tien Sa wharf bridge has a total length equal to the total berth length of 1,700 meters. The access channel to the port is 6.3 kilometers away from the pilot point and has a depth of -11 meters, with a 450-meter long breakwater. The Tien Sa wharf area is currently the primary wharf area serving Da Nang city, a portion of the North Central Highlands, and transit goods from Laos and Northeastern Thailand. It consists of 3 berths (5 berths) and is undergoing expansion with the construction of 2 additional berths (under the Tien Sa port phase 2 upgrade and expansion project).

The Tien Sa wharf area is designed to receive ships with a capacity of 30,000 to 50,000 tons and container ships with a capacity of 4,000 TEUs. The total capacity of berths will reach 10 to 12 million tons after completing the planned construction. The maximum volume of goods passing through the Tien Sa wharf area by road is planned not to exceed 10 million tons per year.
