Ship Crane Troubleshooting in Cam Pha

Ship crane is a very important deck equipment of the ship. It is the main cargo operation equipment for all cargo ships. Crane related incidents will greatly affect the cargo operation speed and schedule of the ship. The delay in delivery leads to a lot of costs.

Common malfunctioning parts of ship cranes such as

• Hydraulic Pumps and Motors

• Brake solenoid valves/Control valves

• Hydraulic filters/fittings

• Ram and cylinder

• Crane electrical system

Most recently, Hai Ha M&S trouleshooted the ship crane problem at the Cam Pha anchorage.

• The speed of lifting and lowering the boom is very slow

• Jib crane do automatically lower.

After being checked by our engineer, found that some problems are as follows:

• The brake system is still working good.

• Hydraulic oil pipe isn’t leaking.

• Check the small oil pump – not that good

• Check Hydraulic Motor – not that good

• Some o-ring is not good

Checking hydraulic oil pipe and oil pump.

Disassembly and renew Hydraulic Motor.

After being repaired by the engineer, the crane problems were solved

• Jib Crane has performed better.

• Lifting speed needs to be faster.

• Jib Crane don’t automatically lower.

• The Oil pipe system isn’t leaking.

• The ability to turn and lift the crane is good
